Aalok A. Deshmukh

Aalok A. Deshmukh is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Super Data Labs — a sustainability technology company using AI to make impact measurable, financeable, and scalable. A licensed Architect, LEED Fellow, and Certified M&V Professional, he brings 25+ years of practice spanning buildings and industry, policy, and the climate-money nexus across India and globally.

Super Data Lab's work on automating climate intelligence was recognized as the global winner for implemented AI solutions enabling regulatory and policy innovation at the UNIDO Global Conference 2025 from a fray of ~700 solutions, including ~100 from the Americas, Europe, and China.

Aalok’s career has moved fluidly between execution and systems-building: leading the peer review on the Empire State Building's performance-contracted energy retrofit at Rocky Mountain Institute; heading the USAID ECO-III Project in India, where he built institutional M&V capacity and co-developed India's Net Zero Energy Buildings strategy; and driving a 52% portfolio-wide energy reduction program over an eight-year period at Schneider Electric India worth INR 160 million in avoided costs.

He has served on national committees for India's Energy Conservation Building Code and Building Energy Performance Standard and contributes actively to the sustainability ecosystem through the Sustainability Mafia and Solar Decathlon India.

Aalok joined the EVO Board in 2025. He splits his time between India and the USA.
