Advanced M&V

Chair: Lia Webster

The Advanced M&V Subcommittee aims to generate awareness and foster new Advanced M&V method. These methods utilize interval data and include new forms of models that can incorporate time indicator variables to project baseline energy use into the post-installation period.  Their application has the potential to evaluate efficiency savings in near-real time, which provides benefits to building owners, energy-efficiency service providers, utilities and the smart grid.

Subcommittee focus areas include defining new use cases, specifying data requirements, establishing statistical criteria, standardized handling of non-routine adjustments, and aligning new methods with IPMVP and ASHRAE documents, including Gudeline 14 and RP 1404.
