New CMVP training course organized by the department of Operating Platform for Energy & Carbon (OPEC) from SGS-CSTC Standard Technical Services Co.,Ltd, was successfully held in Beijing, China during Jan 31st -2nd Feb, 2010. It is the first time for our Chinese tutor to lead the whole training independently, and participants felt it is much easier to learn the course in Chinese, and most of them benefit a lot from the course. More than 30 participants attended the training from all over China. The course attracted managers and engineers from well-known enterprises domestic and abroad. Working as the affiliate of EVO in China, SGS will support the review of the professional background documents of the students. For those students who pass the exam and authorization a CMVP certificate will be awarded.

The Efficiency Valuation Organization together with local partners organizes three M&V trainings followed by CMVP exams in Spain and Portugal. The trainings are going to be held on 16-18 March in Madrid, 22-24 March in Barcelona and 3-5 May in Lisbon. You can find more details on the specially designed pages for these trainings.

The updated CMVP list is already available on EVO Web site under Certification. It contains 627 persons around the world and there are about 80 more approved but not yet on the formal list.

EVO releases the amended edition of its International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol (IPMVP) Volume I (Concepts and Options for Determining Energy and Water Savings) in Spanish. A section with Spain-specific references is added in Appendix C. The Spanish translation of IPMVP Vol. I, 2009 is available thanks to the support of Union Fenosa - an integrated energy company which operates on gas and electricity markets. Currently it is accessible only to EVO Subscribers on EVO's Web site under Products-IPMVP.  It will be available to the general public in mid-March 2010.

Fedesco est aussi pionnier dans l'adoption de standards de Mesure & Vérification des économies d'énergie, un aspect essentiel à la qualité d'exécution des contrats de performance énergétique. Fedesco a ainsi récemment délégué 4 de ses collaborateurs à la première formation et certification au protocole IPMVP (International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol) organisée en Europe par l'Efficiency Evaluation Organisation (EVO), dont le standard international est actuellement le plus répandu au monde. Fedesco promouvra par ailleurs ce standard sur le marché belge, notamment via ses contrats de performance énergétique.
