President Left Fork Energy.  Dakers has thirty years of experience in planning, designing, managing, and evaluating ratepayer funded energy efficiency and demand response programs. He has directed numerous multi-program evaluation studies conducted on behalf of public agencies and investor-owned utilities administering energy efficiency portfolios.

Dakers has written EM&V documents and protocols for domestic and international clients including China’s National Development and Reform Commission, and the Clean Development

Mechanism arm of the United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change. He is the author or contributor to several M&V and energy analysis documents including the Department of Energy Uniform Methods Project (UMP) “Commercial and Industrial Lighting Evaluation Protocol,” and the ASHRAE “Procedures for Commercial Building Energy Audits.”

Dakers is a registered Professional Engineer (New York, Colorado) and is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Existing Building Commissioning Professional. He is an instructor at City University of New York where he develops and teaches classes on building energy management. Dakers has a BA in English Literature and an MS in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Colorado.
